Family Forever Jp

How did family forever JP start?

Firstly Id like to start by thanking everyone who has made this possible! to be able to help other families make memories and stories really hits home for everyone here at Family forever JP but this cannot be done without volunteers and donators!

I'm Hayley Jayden's mum and some would say January is the best month of the year for some, but for our family it was the start of the worst nightmare we have ever had to face!

Jayden was 16 years old when he fell ill, for weeks, he had excruciating headaches, earache, sickness and dizziness. We got sent away by professionals at our local hospital, so I booked a simple Eye test which confirmed our worst fears. Jayden had a glioblastoma Tumour in his left temporal lobal.

Glioblastoma is the most aggressive form of Brain Cancers with a 3% survival rate. He battled through two major brain operations, months of chemo, radiotherapy, bloods ,CT scans, MRI scans, being prodded and poked by every medical personnel. He never complained; he was always smiling.

In December 2017 the oncologist confirmed that the NHS could do no more for him. So with Jayden's blessing, we looked further afield and we raised over £240,000 for Immunotherapy treatment, was private treatment, he had to travel to Germany.

In March 2018 Jayden was rushed overnight to Hallwang Clinic in Germany it was touch and go, we didn't think he was going to make it as his body was already shutting down, but yes, he did make it, he was getting stronger, so we brought him home, and every two weeks, we would travel to Germany by road and ferry as Jayden couldn't fly.

But sadly, Jayden had an infection and lost his battle to this awful illness on the 16th August 2018.

Jayden was at home with me, his dad and his brothers. This was Jayden's wish.

As a parent, this is your worse fear. To lose your child.

Jayden was very lucky to have the support from family and friends, and we acted very quickly in 2017 to make Jayden's bucket list as a parent. I was building memories for our sons, Jayden 16 years old, Callum 14 years old and Liam 9 years old. These included Short Holidays, Music Concerts, Chelsea Football Matches and fun days out. We DID have the BEST TIME EVER.

Anyone in these circumstances deserves to be given as much support and happy memories, this is why the charity has been set up.

But not every family are as lucky as Jayden
